• DoorDash orderThe food is always great. I highly recommend their Steak Burrito. They give out fair and generous portions. Their Queso Fundido is some of the best queso I've ever had---definitley beats Chipotle or Panchero cheese. I will say the Burritos generally contain too much rice and the Quesadillas can be greasy. 4/5 stars.

• DoorDash orderThe food is always delicious, the veggie chimichanga is my favorite. I usually ask for a side cup of guac, and I get it about half the time. I wouldn't mind paying an extra couple dollars for it, but I would like to actually get it more consistently. The guac is delicious, I just don't need the full portion, but I'd recommend it to anyone who needs the full size.
Orders always come with a selection of side sauces in varying degrees of spice. Again, delicious, but lately they've been coming in these tiny little cups, much smaller than before. I know times are tough and all, but come on. At this point, with these thimble sized cups, it's just a tease.
Overall, I love el gallo dorado, it's my go to spot for Mexican food and I'd recommend it to others. My gripes are small, but I would appreciate just a bit more consistency in regard to details.

• DoorDash orderI have been searching for a more flavorful Mexican restaurant in Shelton - THIS IS IT. Even the quesadillas have so much flavor - tastes authentic and delicious. The chicken is so tender, seasoned well, and yummy.
