As a Long Islander I consider myself a pizza snob. Sal's Jr is hands down the closest thing I have found in all of Southwest Virginia to a NY pizza. IT IS THE BEST. plus they sell it correctly. by the slice like it should be, lol

CHICKEN MARSALA was good. Large, tender pieces. It wasn't what I'm use to but it was decent. SPECIAL STEAK had plenty of meat and flavor.MOZZARELLA STICKS 6 COUNT were thick and cheesy!

The food is great. The toppings given on pizzas and calzone are not worth the cost. $17 for a calzone that is flat is not a value not matter the taste. We pulled the toppings off and they total weighed 1/2 oz for pepperoni ground beef and onion. Too much for not enough.

First time ever receiving such a "well done" cauliflower crust. Had to cut off edge but the remainder was very good. Would order again. We always have good experience in store.

The penne was a little over cooked and doughy and it came with a large chunk of bread that wasn't cut and was a little hard.
