I was extra impressed with the fact that they did not skimp on the sawmill gravy for the mashed potatoes nor on the syrup for the beignets. So many places will barely give you any gravy at all, but I had plenty for my potatoes with a little extra for a piece of chicken. They also sent enough butter that all of our corn muffins could have some. It's great to have a restaurant that not only consistently serves great food, but that also cares about the little extras that mean the difference between a really good meal experience and just an average one."

The chicken and dumplings were decent. The thing that concerns me the most right now about Cracker Barrel is their prices.
