I'm a fan for life! This is the only place that gets me closer to my late auntie cooking, and aunty, if you’re looking down on me from above, don’t take it to heart when I say this place might be better.

Catfish looks like they filleted a fillet to make two pieces extremely thin. Mashed potatoes could be drank with a straw and tasted like nothing. Just disappointing

I had high hopes, but this place missed the mark. The mac and cheese was overcooked and flavorless — more like soggy noodles than comfort food. The whiting wasn’t fresh at all and had an off smell that was hard to ignore. The catfish was decent, but nothing memorable.
The sides were just okay. The collard greens, fried green tomatoes, and potato salad all tasted basic — nothing that made me want to come back for seconds.
In a city that really needs more solid soul food spots, I was hoping this would be a gem. Instead, it felt rushed and careless. The food lacked love. I’m rooting for them to get it together, but for now, it’s a pass from me.
