Mandalay has the best Burmese food and the best service in San Francisco. The flavors are fabulous and we especially like the Dry Pan Fried String Bean , the Balada and the Mandalay Chicken .

Food was tasty, but disappointed by the portions, especially the Burmese curry. For the amount spent, I was hoping it would be a fuller container. Not 3/4 full.

Our dishes traveled during takeout really well! The flavors and temperature were just right. I loved the Balada and Tea Leaf Salad (Lap Pat Dok) sauces.

I love Mandalay, and I have been going here since I was a child. The Pan Fried Pork with String Bean was pretty bad this time, and it's normally delicious, so I was super disappointed. To be clear, this is the first time I have been disappointed with an order from them, so I hope it was just a one-off.
