Butterfish is amazing!! It's our go to for an affordable meal. My partner loves the DIY bowl. I opted for trying the Surf n Turf and it is without a doubt delicious! The meat is always cooked perfectly, the sauce is delicious and Butterfish never skimps on portion size. 10/10! The Tokyo Fries are so good too. Not too spicy at all... just a little kick!

Surf n Turf and Tokyo Fries
I'm taking off 1 star today, my 5th time, ordering these due to everything being cooked differently. the steak is normally tear apart tender medium, but today it was well done. also, the Tokyo Fries were not a whole order that I'm used to. only about ½ full.

I get the large poke bowl and have never been disappointed. Has a ton of food, and it's all fresh and well seasoned. It's definitely worth the price and perfect for anyone, because you make it the way you want. They also have beef and chicken for those who aren't fish fans.

I got the California bowl. everything was great and tasted fresh. nicely diced and easy to eat. the Tokyo Fries were a little messy with the sauce leaking through the paper boat they arrived in. maybe sauced and tossed would be better? or sauce on the side.
overall, the meal was filling and good.

I've ordered the same 3 nights in a row this was by far the worse sous chef ever, where's the rice? there was none rice!! sushi rice, none! where's the shr imp? maybe 4 small bites only while absolutely loaded with tri tip.
what's up with your kitchen? No pickled ginger??
very soupy in the bottom of bowl, watery probably from so much sea kelp noodle, no rice.
